Our Story
Born from a love of mahjong's centuries-old craft and the convivial spirit of Marin County, the Ross Mahjong Club is a private gathering for those who play with intention. We meet in intimate settings — private homes, garden terraces, candlelit dining rooms — where the click of tiles mingles with good conversation and exceptional wine.

The Experience
The Game
Traditional Cantonese mahjong, played with antique bone-and-bamboo sets sourced from private collections. Instruction available for those new to the art.
The Wine
A curated pour each evening — Burgundy, Champagne, and occasionally something unexpected. Sommelier-selected to complement the rhythm of the game.
The Company
Members are drawn from across Marin's professional and creative communities. Each gathering is deliberately small — never more than twelve at the table.

Garden Party & Tile Tournament
An afternoon into evening affair on the terrace. Lawn games, aperitifs, and competitive play as the light fades.
Harvest Night
Season's close. A formal dinner followed by play. Black tie optional. Magnums opened.
Membership
The Ross Mahjong Club is a private society. Membership is offered by invitation or through a letter of introduction from a current member.
